Introduction To AME And What It Can Do For You

The intention of this document is to give a brief introduction to the Additively Manufactured Electronics (AME) technology and an overview of the currently available (3D-) printing processes for electronics. Furthermore, the paper will highlight the advantages of AME over the traditional printed circuit board (PCB) technology and why it is worth the effort to advance this emergent technology. The identified unique selling points (USPs) of AME will be linked to visionary AME stories on the J.A.M.E.S platform, enabling the registered users to permanently track the technology’s advancements towards the applicability of the USPs in fully functional products.
