This AME design has the status of concept. A first design concept is established, a complete explanation of the targeted functionality is included, and the targeted printer technology has been provided.
This test structure with a helix design opens up a world of applications in the RF sector, including antennas and filters.

What Is the Use of a 3D-Helix Desing ?
With helix structures for RF-antenna use
- it is possible to improve your antenna gain, efficiency and directivity
- a circular polarisation can be distributed for improved transmitt-/ receive-capability
- e.g. for point to point communication systems or satellite communication (some example to optimace a helical antenne is provided here)
With helix stuctures in RF-systems
- it is possible to create passive filter-flements in radio-systems
- by material and process selection such designs are suitable for special enviromental conditions, high temperature range or high current
