MTC Honoured With Silver Award From Ministry Of Defence
MTC has been presented with a Silver Award by the Ministry of Defence in recognition of its support for the armed forces community, and commitment to fair recruitment and work adjustments.
Detail of the Silver Award
The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) has been presented with a Silver Award by the Ministry of Defence's Employer Recognition Scheme. The award recognises MTC's commitment to aiding UK defence and the military community, embedding Armed Forces Covenant within its policies.
MTC has shown its commitment by hiring military personnel through fair processes and supporting those employees as they balance their roles in your Reserve duty with MTC roles. This is needed to prevent members of the armed forces community from being unfairly disadvantaged.
Dr. Graham Hoare, chief executive of the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), said he was proud to have been recognised for its workforce's dedication from our armed forces personnel. He pointed out that these people were very expensive for the centre and it needed their special skills and experience on board. The Ministry of Defence Silver Award recognises the MTC's commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for everyone working at its facilities.
