High Frequency Solution-processed Organic Field-effect Transistors With High-resolution Printed Short Channels
Our colleagues from XTPL, Mateusz Łysień and Łukasz Witczak, collaborated with Tommaso Losi, Pietro Rossi, Paola Moretti, Chiara Bertarelli, Mario Caironi from Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and Virgilio Mattoli from Centre for Material Interfaces to publish a paper titled "High frequency solution-processed organic field-effect transistors with high-resolution printed short channels". The paper has garnered positive feedback since its publication.
Using the Ultra-Precision Deposition method, the paper investigates the use of high-resolution, direct-written metallic contacts for developing fully-solution fabricated organic transistors. The results showed that an average transition frequency of 25.5 MHz at 25 V was achieved, which is the highest frequency achieved with OFETs where critical features are defined by a printing method.
