Concept of an active Smart 3D-AME antenna array as followup of the previous basic article AME Antenna Array in that usecase area.
A Design Study of How Could a AME-Styled Active Antenna Array Look Like
First of all the concept needs to be driven by
- user need of provided service, performance, cost efficiency (product needs)
- resulting requirements of the application
- resulting requirements of the service platform (CONOPS)
to reach out all benefits on product level
- Improved technical performance for the provided service (e.g. RF performance)
- Improved performance for the platform (e.g. lightweigth payload reduces energy consumption for service)
- Increased miniaturisation improves service/volume density (more service for payload)
- System Integration improvements (reduce integration complexity and time consuming mounting effords)
