High Precision Capillary Printing (HPCaP)
To operate in SUB-MICRONIC SCALES with the smallest fountain pen in the world
Understanding the technology behind High Precision Capillary Printing (HPCaP) by HUMMINK
THE WORKING PRINCIPLE of HPCaP
High Precision Capillary Printing of any material on any surface
starts with
- Initial positioning
- Aproaching the capillary to the substrate
- Contact detection enables capillarity deposition
- Stopping the printing by lifting the capillary (pipette)
- Maintaining the contact between the pipette and the substrate allows for continuous printing
Capillarity is the only driving force with complete automatic adaptation to the surface's roughness and topography.
