Witnessing The Future Of 3D Printing Electronics With FPM-Trinity
Japan continued to have a busy week in electronics innovation during the final week of January 2024. At the 38th NEPCON in Tokyo, Japan, were our CEO Andreas Müller, and our Head of Marketing & Sales Alexandre Schäfer.
The official introduction of the FPM-Trinity Printer by FUJI Corporation, one of our respected partners, during their visit was one the highlights of the event. After all, new printers aren´t released very often, and this technological advancement in 3D printing of electronics could possibly set new standards for the industry.
More About Fpm-Trinity
FPM-Trinity, currently under development, is the world's first machine capable of manufacturing electronic devices by combining three functions: Resin 3D formation, electric circuit printing, and electric parts placement. By inputting design data and materials, the system can fully automate the production of panels with mounted electronic parts.
Manufacturing with overwhelming speed
FPM-Trinity utilizes the full additive process, eliminating the need to prepare masks and jigs for manufacturing. Electronic devices can be manufactured in a single day, accelerating prototyping.
Realizes a variety of designs
The manufacturing process in conjunction with 3D data reproduces devices in ideal shapes that could not be made using ordinary electronic panels.
Contributing to a sustainable society
It is a green process that reduces liquid and material waste by more than 95% compared to typical PCB panel manufacturing.
Inside Look: Fuji Team on the Fpm-Trinity Printer
Our team had the opportunity to see this printer up close and explore how it could transform 3D printing electronics manufacturing.
Among many highlights, one highlight of the trip was an in-depth interview with the Fuji team. This engaging interview explained the development process of the FPM-Trinity Printer and its features.

Fpm-Trinity Printer and Its Features
Our First Impression
The machine makes a very high-quality impression. It essentially consists of two components: the SMT and the additive part.
The SMT part is a „NXTR“ of the current generation. The additive part of the printer contains the respective process units for:
- microdispensing,
- silver printing,
- polymer printing,
- heat and press unit and
- UV processing.
No major preparation or post-processing is required. Simply fill in the necessary materials and the printer calibrates itself. Then you can start printing.
A sales price is not yet known.
