Polymertal Joins ZF Group
Polymertal joins ZF Group, marking a significant step towards sustainable innovation, focusing on technological solutions, carbon footprint reduction, and strategic partnerships for a sustainable future.
A Major Step to Sustainable Innovation
Another important step ahead for Polymertal by becoming part of the ZF Group. For ZF, innovation and sustainability—two things that go together. It is technological solutions that pave the way for sustainable products. This dedication was apparent at the Green Material & Technology Innovation Day on June 4, staged by ZF Forum in Friedrichshafen.
This included a panel discussion on how to reduce carbon footprints and costs of sustainable materials. The event attracted companies to share automation, connectivity, and mobility solutions, as well as electrification and how iron can be produced in a sustainable way. It would also include carbon capture strategies and technologies, as well as measures to minimize material usage.
ZF Group recognizes the sustainability and innovation of its suppliers, said Daniele Pontarollo, chief procurement officer Materials and Innovation become the focus of ZF's new Materials Management strategy. ZF has anchored the intentions to collaborate with partners earlier, more intensively, and purposely in their efforts. This will also involve issuing more memorandums of understanding to pave the way for early cooperation—recently realized in an agreement with ArcelorMittal regarding the use of renewably produced steel.
That is why the integration of Polymertal into the ZF Group is a mutual undertaking to master the challenges of materials management on the way toward successful and sustainable business.
